Thoughts from the Weekend

Seeing the groom's face when his bride walks down the aisle still gets me.every.time.

I got over my spanx phobia. I get it now, I really do.

Martha's Vineyard is the Charleston of the North.

I need to own a house in one of these locations. I'm not picky, I'll take either.

The Hub's gives amazing best man speeches. The boy KILLED it.

Late night sliders and french fries are the new wedding trend and I'm loving it, even if my waistline isn't.

One day, I will get the lesson through my head that dancing while holding champagne do not mix. Just ask the front of my dress.

I still get wedding envy, like I want to redo it again and again.

All brides whose wedding was pre-pinterest, should get a do-over.

Whose with me?!

It's in the air

This labor day weekend is full of celebrations

Tomorrow I will be in one of my best friend's weddings here

(Harry Potter-ville, aka Hub's work place, aka Avon Old Farms School)

Then waking up at the crack of dawn to make it here

(2 hour car ride to make it to the 1 hour and half ferry ride)

for the hub's best friend's wedding in Martha's Vineyard.

So, yah, I'm going to be celebrating. A lot.

Manicure, pedicure, dress alterned, fake tan later, and I'm ready.

Let's do this!

Wedding Season

So, wedding season has officially begun for us this past weekend.

We have two, that's right TWO weddings coming up on Labor Day weekend and my Cousin Lizzy's wedding at the end of September.
Lucky us, lots of celebrations!

This weekend we celebrated Jackie and Drew.

Can you tell we were having a good time? And really I just had to tell you about the genius as we left the wedding, on the way out, when we were tired from dancing, a little too much champagne, the hairspray had sweated from my hair, they had, wait for it.....

Sliders and french fries in To Go cups.....

 i mean.

Who was happier than me?

Pretty sure no one.
Also side note, the lead singer of the band looked EXACTLY like Ben Affleck. No, seriously.
You're just going to have to take my word for it.

Here's a little story

of a birthday boy who was a little grumpy when he thought his wife didn't plan anything for his big 3-0.

                                        (it's true, he tried not to let on but i know him too well)

But all was forgiven when he was surprised by a limo with all of his favorites and some fancy birthday bowling.
